Royal Price Tracker went offline and its users lost their fare and add-on alerts overnight. These are the five replacements that survived hands-on testing, ranked — including an honest look at the author's own site at #1.
1. TravelMutiny (full disclosure: this is my site)
Cabin fare tracking across every major cruise line, plus the only add-on tracker covering Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Planner extras — drink packages, dining, Wi-Fi, and excursions. Weaknesses: add-on tracking is RC/Celebrity only, and the price-history charts are newer than the established tools.
2. Cruiseplum
The power user's choice: 17 lines and deep price history with years of charts. Steep learning curve, and fares only — no add-on tracking.
3. Cruiseline.com
The simplest to use: email-only fare alerts with almost zero setup. Less granular — sailing-level rather than cabin-category alerts.
4. Cruise Critic
The familiar name. A genuinely useful 90-day price history for research, but the weakest alerts of the five — better as a research tool than a watchdog.
5. CruiseWatch
The widest coverage, including smaller and premium lines — but documented accuracy complaints. Verify any CruiseWatch alert against the cruise line's own site before acting on it.
The bottom line
Simple fare emails: Cruiseline.com. Deep fare history across 17 lines: Cruiseplum. Fare plus Cruise Planner add-on alerts — the thing Royal Price Tracker actually was — start free tracking at Travel Mutiny.
